Doctorate in Business Administration
The profound changes that occurred during the 1980s and 1990s in the international economic and political spheres have significantly impacted all levels of educational and administrative work in all countries, prompting theoretical and practical analyses and reformulations that require new skills from professionals. Therefore, educational institutions face the challenge of developing high-level human resources capable not only of anticipating and designing innovative response programs, but also of accessing and efficiently applying new information and communication technologies (ICTs).
The Doctoral Program in Business Administration seeks to train professionals facing challenging situations, capable of opening up the necessary horizons with clear and defined projects, and of deepening scientific research and publishing in the area of administrative sciences.
In this context, the Inter-American University of Social Sciences (IUSS) takes on the challenge of offering a Doctorate in Business Administration program that meets the demands of our historical era and that of the American and Latin American community interested in earning a Doctorate in Business Administration.
The Doctorate in Business Administration Program at the Inter-American University of Social Sciences (IUSS) aims to train professionals with solid theoretical, research, and practical management knowledge in the specific areas of Comprehensive Business Administration, within the framework of a global business management perspective.
- Critically analyze diverse historical positions and/or interpretations;
- Identify educational and administrative needs in the social and teaching environments;
- Design and implement original research projects to address educational situations;
- Direct and coordinate research teams;
- Plan and implement curriculum design, evaluation, and redesign projects;
- Develop academic development programs in educational institutions, as well as corporate improvement projects;
- Teach based on a deep understanding of the discipline and the use of innovative teaching and learning strategies linked to modern concepts of communication;
- Exercise leadership in the area of social action, maintaining and promoting the principles, ethical and moral values of a democratic society.

- Participate in the planning, management, implementation, and evaluation of programs and projects aimed at organizational improvement and innovation through the application of new technologies and tools in strategy, corporate finance, and marketing, as well as the proper management of Human Resources through the implementation of motivation, negotiation, and the introduction of business coaching models.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT
- Have completed a master’s degree;
- Complete the doctoral enrollment requirement;
